Urine FSH self-test
The Meno-Check Swiss Point of Care is a high-quality immunochromatographic self-test for the detection of follicle-stimulating hormone, also known as FSH, in urine. The test detects FSH concentrations from 25 mIU/ml and can provide an initial indication of hormonal changes associated with the menopause.

Hormonal changes during the menopause
During the perimenopausal phase, the body’s hormonal balance changes. The ovaries gradually produce fewer hormones, which can cause FSH levels to rise. An irregular menstrual cycle is often one of the first signs of perimenopause.

The menopause usually begins around the age of 45, whilst menopause itself occurs on average around the age of 51. However, this varies from person to person.
