Rapid self-test for iron deficiency
The Ferri-Check Swiss Point of Care is a high-quality immunochromatographic self-test for assessing ferritin levels in the blood. Ferritin is a protein that stores iron in the body. A low ferritin level may indicate a possible iron deficiency.

When can iron deficiency occur?
Iron deficiency can occur as a result of insufficient iron intake, reduced absorption, blood loss, menstruation, pregnancy or growth. Possible signs include tiredness, paleness, headaches, a faster heart rate or shortness of breath on exertion. These symptoms may develop gradually and therefore go unnoticed.

Easy to use at home
The test is carried out using a small amount of blood from a finger-prick. Using the lancet, capillary pipette and diluent provided, the test can be easily carried out at home following the instructions for use.

Storage and use
Store the Ferri-Check between 4 °C and 30 °C and do not freeze the test. Do not open the protective aluminium pouch until you are ready to use the test immediately. Do not use the test after the expiry date.

Important note
The Ferri-Check is a screening test and is not a substitute for a medical examination or diagnosis. Always consult a doctor if you receive an abnormal result, have persistent symptoms or have any medical concerns. This test is not suitable for people with suspected or diagnosed haemochromatosis.
