Rapid self-test for liver function
The Liver-Screen Swiss Point of Care is a high-quality immunochromatographic self-test for detecting elevated transaminase levels in the blood. The test checks for the liver enzymes ALT and AST, which can be released into the blood in the event of liver stress, liver damage or liver disease.

Why check ALT and AST?
The liver plays an important role in digestion, cleansing the blood, producing proteins and storing energy. In the event of liver problems, transaminases such as ALT and AST may be elevated. Possible signs of liver problems include dark urine, pale stools, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin or eyes, abdominal swelling, weakness or persistent tiredness

1 test cassette in a sealed aluminium pouch
2 plastic capillary pipettes
1 desiccant sachet
1 sterile lancet for blood sampling
1 dropper bottle containing 1 ml of diluent
Instructions for use

Easy to carry out at home
The test is carried out using a small amount of blood from a finger prick. The test cassette contains two separate detection zones for transaminases and a control zone. If the result is positive, a red colour appears in the test zone, whilst the control zone indicates that the test is functioning correctly.

Storage and use
Store the test between 4 °C and 30 °C and do not freeze it. Do not open the aluminium pouch until you are ready to use the test immediately. Do not use the test after the expiry date stated on the label and the pouch.

Important note
The Liver-Screen is a screening test and is not a substitute for a medical examination or diagnosis. Elevated liver enzymes can have various causes, such as hepatitis, medication use, excessive alcohol consumption, obesity, diabetes or high blood pressure. If you get an abnormal result, have persistent symptoms or have any medical concerns, always consult a doctor.
