Rapid self-test for CRP in blood
The CRP-Screen Swiss Point of Care is a semi-quantitative immunochromatographic self-test for determining C-reactive protein (CRP) in a drop of blood from the fingertip. CRP is a protein produced mainly by the liver in response to inflammation or infection. An elevated CRP level may indicate a bacterial infection or an inflammatory process in the body.

Insight into possible infections or inflammation
In healthy individuals, the CRP concentration is usually below 8 mg/L. This level may rise during inflammation or infection. The CRP Screen provides a semi-quantitative indication of the CRP concentration via various test lines, giving you an initial impression of the level of the CRP value.

The test can be a useful tool in assessing symptoms, but it does not provide a definitive diagnosis and does not determine whether antibiotics are necessary. Always consult a doctor for this.

Instructions for use

Storage and use
Store the test between 4 °C and 30 °C and do not freeze it. Do not open the protective aluminium pouch until you are ready to use the test immediately. Do not use the test after the expiry date.

Important note
The CRP-Screen is a screening test and is not a substitute for a medical examination or diagnosis. An elevated CRP level can have various causes. If you receive an abnormal result, experience severe symptoms or have persistent symptoms, always consult a doctor for further investigation and appropriate treatment.
