Ethilon is a surgical monofilament nylon suture (Polyamide 6)

Ethilon suture passes smoothly through the tissue and provides secure knot tying.
Ethilon sutures are generally available in blue or black to improve visibility in the tissue. They can also be purchased in an undyed version.
Black Ethilon is suitable for use in skin closure.

The thinnest ethilon suture is attached to a needle for applications in eye surgery, microsurgery and plastic surgery, for example.
The thicker thread is attached to a needle and is used for closing skin, among other things.
