Effective support for blood clotting
Spongostan Standard 70 x 50 x 10 mm is a sterile, resorbable gelatine sponge for use during surgical procedures. The sponge supports natural blood clotting and helps to control localised bleeding.

High absorbency
Thanks to its porous structure, Spongostan can absorb up to 50 times its own weight in blood. This enables the sponge to provide reliable support for haemostasis in a variety of surgical situations.

Absorbable by the body
Spongostan can remain in place after application. The sponge is normally absorbed by the body within 3 to 5 weeks, meaning manual removal is not necessary.
