Properties and functions

Due to its purely physical mechanism of action, Cutimed Sorbact Hydroactive wound dressing binds and removes bacteria and fungi without the release of antimicrobial agents. Efficacy is based on hydrophobic interaction. Bacteria and fungi also have hydrophobic properties and are therefore irreversibly bound to the wound dressing.
