Properties and functions

Due to its purely natural mechanism of action, Cutimed Sorbact compress binds and removes bacteria and fungi without the release of antimicrobial agents. Efficacy is based on hydrophobic interaction. Cutimed Sorbact has hydrophobic properties. Bacteria and fungi also have hydrophobic properties and are therefore irreversibly bound to the wound dressing. Cutimed Sorbact is applied directly to the wound.

Use Cutimed Sorbact gel impregnated with hydrogel for especially for dry (deep) wounds. This bacteria-binding dressing creates a moist wound environment and thus also supports autolytic debridement.
