Properties and functions

Due to its purely physical mechanism of action, Cutimed Sorbactt gauze strip binds and removes bacteria and fungi without the release of antimicrobial agents. Efficacy is based on hydrophobic interaction. Cutimed Sorbact has hydrophobic properties. Bacteria and fungi also have hydrophobic properties and are therefore irreversibly bound to the wound dressing.
