Covidien POLYSORB is a resorbable multifilament suture manufactured from a synthetic polyester consisting of glycolide and lactide.

The sutures are violet in colour for improved visibility.

The braiding process and coating ensure:
- Excellent tensile strength during the wound healing period
- Reinforced knots
- Ease of use

Residual tensile strength: 2 weeks: 80% – 3 weeks: 30%
POLYSORB is almost completely absorbed within 56 to 70 days .

POLYSORB is suitable for:
- Approximation or ligation of soft tissue
- Eye surgery

POLYSORB is NOT suitable for:
- Cardiovascular tissue
- Nervous tissue
