Ethicon's suture, Vicryl Rapide is fast-soluble, strong, braided suture.
This suture has a coating that makes sliding the thread through the tissue easy. This also makes it easy to tie knots.
After 42 days, the thread is fully resorbed. Resorption of vicryl rapide is by hydrolysis and this causes only minimal tissue reaction. Vicryl Rapide is suitable for tissue that
