• The SAM Chest Seal with valve 2.0 is specially designed for the treatment of open chest wounds that can be life-threatening and can lead to a (tension) pneumothorax.
• The SAM Chest Seal is available with a valve equipped with a one-way valve. This valve provides low resistance to air leaving the chest cavity, while blocking access for incoming air.
• The valve has multiple exits to prevent obstructions caused by dirt or blood. The dome shape of the valve also ensures that it does not shut off when the patient is wrapped with isolation blankets.

OVAL SEAL

Larger than other occlusive dressings, the oval shape of the seal's surface maximises transparency, elasticity and conformability surrounding effective adhesion.

2. DUAL APPLICATION TABS

Tabs follow subsequent placement and removal of adhesive (dressing), with the ability to ventilate and reseal.

3. REINFORCED GEL

Strong Hydrogel adheres in the presence of blood, hair, sweat and sand, or when submerged in water.

4. TRUFLOW VALVE

Reinforced domed unidirectional valve allows air to flow from the chest cavity, controlling the patient's position, preventing intrusion that reduces internal obstruction of blood, clots or zoft sackcloth.

5. THIN PERIPHERAL LAYER

The thin peripheral layer resists lifting or peeling, and maintains a perfect seal.

6. NIGHT VISION OPTIMISED

Optimised for night vision, the pouch, back of the dressing and tabs provide ideal contrast for visibility in normal light, low light and at night (using a night vision device).
