This Coronavirus test determines IgG-type antibodies in blood.

This rapid test for Covid-19 antibodies subject to an incubation period of at least 14 days after the onset of symptoms, this method has a sensitivity of 97.4% and a specificity of 98.5%.
The Coronavirus IgG test is not suitable for the diagnosis of acute COVID-19 infection. In that case, the SARS-CoV-2 PCR test on a nasopharyngeal swab or a combined throat-nose swab should be used.

The Rapid test for antibodies Coronavirus 2019-nCoV lgG is intended to detect the production of IgG antibodies after symptomatic or non-symptomatic infection. This test can also add value in contact tracing. A SARS-CoV-2 IgG seroconversion occurs after an average incubation period of 9-14 days from the onset of symptoms.

For a reliable result, it is advisable to take this period into account before blood sampling.
- a negative result does not rule out a recent infection (<14 days ago);
- a positive result shows the presence of IgG-type antibodies; it is currently not known whether and for how long these antibodies are protective.
