Product Description

Restoring natural speech
The Portex Orator Tracheostomy Speech Valve has been developed to enable patients with a tracheostomy to speak naturally again. The valve is suitable for use with fenestrated cuffed or uncuffed tracheostomy tubes fitted with a standard 15 mm connector.

How the speaking valve works
During inhalation, the one-way valve opens, allowing air to reach the lungs via the tracheostomy. During exhalation, the valve closes automatically, directing the exhaled air through the upper airways and past the vocal cords. This enables the patient to speak naturally once again.
