The hand force meter Kern MAP

This hand force meter is excellent for use in rehabilitation centres for determining the closing force of the hand. Reduced hand strength indicates an increased risk of life-threatening injury in the elderly or in cases of malnutrition. E.g. as a result of chemotherapy.

The hand strength meter has four different measurement modes that can be set, thereby helping medical staff to test and train the patient in a controlled way as part of a rehabilitation programme.
-Realtime mode: instantly displays the current force
-Peak/Max mode: displays the maximum force of a handgrip
-Average mode: calculates the average force of two handles
-Count mode: counts the number of press movements that exceed a predefined limit force
