The Ethicon Selectable Linear Cutter 55 mm is a sterile surgical instrument designed for the simultaneous stapling and cutting of tissue during open surgical procedures. Thanks to the innovative 3D Staples™ technology, uniform compression is achieved across the entire staple line, contributing to consistent staple formation and reliable performance.

The instrument features a selectable staple height, allowing the surgeon to easily switch between Regular and Thick tissue. This makes the linear cutter suitable for a wide range of surgical applications and different tissue thicknesses.

With an instrument length of 55 mm, a cutting length of 58 mm, 6 rows of staples and 88 titanium staples, this instrument offers efficient and precise tissue closure and dissection. The cutter can be fired up to 12 times and is sterile-packed for single use.

Thanks to its compact 55 mm design, the control slider has a shorter stroke than the 75 mm Linear Cutter. This allows the staple line and cutting line to be controlled over a shorter length, making the cutter particularly suitable for procedures where less operating space is available or a shorter staple line is required.
