Covidien POLYSORB is a resorbable multifilament suture manufactured from a synthtetic polyester consisting of glycolide and Lactide.

The sutures are violet coloured for improved visibility.

The braiding process and coating ensure:
- Excellent tensile strength during the wound healing period
- Reinforced knots
- Easy handling

Residual tensile strength: 2 weeks: 80% - 3 weeks: 30%
Ultimate absorption of the POLYSORB is almost complete between 56 and 70 days.

The POLYSORB is suitable for:
- Approach or ligation of soft tissue
- Eye surgery

The POLYSORB is NOT suitable for:
- Cardiovascular tissue
- Neural tissue
