- Length (40 cm male, 20 cm female)
- Outer diameter = hinge (1 channel = 0.33 mm)
- Materials -> short duration= simple PVC probe -> for indwelling catheter, long-term use( Stay >24 hours to 30 days)= latex or silicone Foley catheter
FOLEY CATHETERS
- Balloon volume: 5 to 15 ml for men, 3 to 5 ml for children
- The material: when used <3 weeks = coated latex, long-term use = silicone
