KERRAMAX CARE superabsorbent dressing - A superabsorbent dressing with a unique horizontal spreading layer that distributes exudate across the dressing combines with absorbent polymers that absorb and retain large amounts of exudate into an effective yet flexible dressing.

3M Kerramax Care is intended for wounds that produce high to very high amounts of fluid.

All wounds produce exudate (moisture) to support repair and healing of damaged skin. In wounds where healing takes a long(er) time, a lot of wound fluid can be harmful and thus further delay or make wound healing difficult if not dealt with effectively.

3M Kerramax Care superabsorbent dressings can absorb wound fluid from the wound in an advanced way. 3M Kerramax Care is available with or without an adhesive border (border) and also in a Multisite form for wounds in more difficult areas, such as chest, shoulder, elbow and groin.
The 3M Kerramax Care dressings without an adhesive border, including the Multisite, can be used on both sides.

- 3M Kerramax Care can be used as a primary or secondary dressing. For very wet wounds, several dressings can be used on top of each other. The dressings can also be folded.

3M Kerramax Care dressings contain a unique layer that diffuses moisture, distributing moisture evenly throughout the dressing and ensuring that potentially harmful moisture is well absorbed and retained in the dressing. This also prevents moisture from leaking out of the dressing.

Another advantage of being able to absorb a lot of moisture is that the dressing on your wound does not need to be changed as often. This has advantages for your wound healing, but is also more comfortable for you. The dressing remains dry to the touch, preventing the skin around the wound from softening.

Do you use pressure dressings, bandages or compression stockings? No problem. The dressing can still be used underneath and absorb wound fluid very well.

Changing the dressing
Check the dressing regularly. A new dressing should be applied if the dressing is saturated or if your practitioner thinks it should be changed . 3M Kerramax Care can be used for several days in a row. However, this depends on the condition of the wound and surrounding skin.
